MUSAH: "I'M VERSATILE AND READY TO IMPROVE"

All good things come in threes: after Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze, a week of presentation press conferences has come to an end with the thoughts of Yunus Musah. At Milanello, the young US midfielder met accredited journalists and spoke about his early impressions at the start of this Rossoneri adventure. His interview was broadcast on Milan TV, YouTube and the AC Milan Official App:

GATTUSO AND AC MILAN
"Gattuso spoke a lot about AC Milan to me and talked about his time as a player here, giving me some advice as well as a midfielder. Gigi Riccio (his assistant), after the World Cup, joked about me joining AC Milan shortly, and that's what has happened in the end. I still haven't spoken with Rino since arriving, but I'll call him soon."

AROUND THE WORLD
"My childhood in Italy was really beautiful; I have many good memories. In summer, I was always out playing football with my brother; my mother had a shop next door. In Castelfranco, we could go out without our parents worrying. Starting out at Giorgione, I never would have imagined coming here. I've travelled around a lot but I'm really happy to be back in Italy at AC Milan, a very big Club. I'm delighted to be here; I know the language and the country, and that helped me in my decision. Plus, my brother made me love AC Milan when I was a kid." 

CHARACTERISTICS
"I'm a versatile player, who likes to drop in and get on the ball. I like to be aggressive defensively but also drive the team forward. I like to be able to do a bit of everything; the Head Coach has been helping me a lot these last few days, explaining the right positions for me to get in and how to time my runs into the box. I know I can do more going forward and tactically I'm aware that the level is higher and I've got to improve."

ROLE MODELS "When I was at Arsenal I loved Yaya Touré; he was a role model and I still now watch some of his videos. I like how he played, a mix of technical quality and physicality." 

THE DRESSING ROOM
"There's a lot of talent in this squad and being able to work with them every day is a privilege. I want to take this opportunity to develop as a player and help to get the Club fighting at a level it deserves. Every member in the squad is a quality player; I've seen them on TV these past few years and I'm ready to learn from them."
